Palak called an introductory meeting on Tuesday at PTD
State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak will sit in his office at the Secretariat on Tuesday after being appointed last week for the new responsibilities. He will sit in a meeting with the senior officials of various departments of the ministry at the beginning of the office at nine o'clock on that day. The meeting will be held in the Ministry's conference room while Post and Telecommunication Secretary Abu Hena Morshed Zaman will preside over the meeting, said sources.
The media personnel might be present at that time and can cover the meeting. If the state minister permits, the journalists might also talk with him on various issues. It is reported that after the meeting with the officials of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications, Palak will attend an event at the Center for Research and Information (CRI) in Dhanmondi.
The new Minister of State for Posts and Telecommunications will hold a meeting with BTRC and BTCL officials on Wednesday and Thursday.
Recently, Zunaid Ahmed Palak started looking after the tasks of this ministry online on the next working day after receiving the new responsibility on November 29. On November 28, the former Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar completed his second term as minister. Being a technocrat minister, he resigned under the constitutional rules of elections.
